2014 LACCHA annual meeting agenda

The annual LACCHA meeting is right around the corner! Join us on Friday, August 15 at 4 p.m.to 5:30 p.m. at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel, meeting room Virginia C. During the meeting we will be announcing the passage of the new by-laws document, new Jr. Co-Chair and presentations by attendees from Honduras and Ecuador. 4:00-4:30 p.m.:

  • Announcements and roundtable business: passage of new by-laws document; election of new Junior Co-Chair; appointment of special 1-year Web Communications Liaison.
  • Member news and reports

4:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m.: Presentations

  • Dilcia Mayela Valle, Directora de Archivos del Poder Judicial de Honduras. “Rescate y Reorganización Documental” [Rescue and reorganization of archives]
  • Magda Aracely Sanchez Espinoza, Coordinadora Unidad Digital de Información, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras (UNAH). Alexander J. Flores Moncada, Especialista en Planificacion y Gestion de Proyectos, UNAH. “La UNAH y su contribución al rescate, preservación, acceso y visibilidad del patrimonio documental de Honduras” [The National Autonomous University of Honduras and its contribution to the rescue, preservation, access and visibility of Honduras’ cultural heritage]

Presentations will be presented in Spanish with English translations distributed ahead of time on the LACCHA microsite. Spanish-English speaking audience members will also be identified to provide “whisper” translations during the presentations. Q & A sessions will be simultaneously translated.
